UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State bound end Mike Gesicki is one of eight semifinalists for the John Mackey Award, which is accustomed annuallly to the best outstanding bound end in academy football, the Nittany Lions appear Tuesday.

Named for NFL Hall of Famer John Mackey, who is advised to be one of the best anytime to comedy the position, the accolade will be appear on Wednesday, Dec. 6 and presented to the champ at the Home Depot Academy Football Awards on Thursday, Dec. 7.
The finalists for the accolade will be appear on Monday, Nov. 20.

Gesicki, a 6-6, 249-pound senior, has a team-high 42 catches for 419 yards and bristles touchdowns this season. He has bent at atomic one canyon in 24 beeline games, and 22 of his 42 receptions accept produced aboriginal downs.
